Many genuine Children of God in Christ in this World allow MONEY to be their god instead to be for their good.
Allowing MONEY to be your god in this World means you allowing MONEY to drive you away from GOD in Christ in this World in terms of:
1. You allowing MONEY to drive you away from obeying the WORD (truth) of GOD in Christ in this World.
2. You allowing MONEY to drive you away from living the WAYS of GOD in Christ in this World.
3. You allowing MONEY to drive you away from accepting the WILL of GOD in Christ for you in this World.
Jesus Christ says that:
No man (or woman) can SERVE two masters. For either he (or she) will HATE the one and LOVE the other. Or else he (or she) will HOLD to the one and DESPISE the other. You CANNOT serve God and mammon. (Matthew 6:24)
Apostle Paul counsels thus:
...They that will be rich FALL into temptation and a snare and into many foolish and hurtful LUSTS, which drown men (and women) in destruction and perdition.
For the LOVE of MONEY is the ROOT of ALL evil. Which while some COVETED after, they have erred from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
But thou, O MAN (and woman) of GOD, flee these things and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
Fight the good fight of faith, LAY HOLD on eternal life, whereunto you are also CALLED and has professed a good profession before many witnesses. (1 Timothy 6:9-12; James 1:12-15).
Do you get it?
Until you rule and reign over MONEY in Christ in this World, your LOVE for GOD and His THINGS in Christ in this World is questionable. True!
You and I in Christ in this World is to LOVE (worship) the LORD with ALL our heart, soul, mind and strength and not MONEY. Take note, take heed! (Mark 12:28-31).
However, allowing MONEY to be for your good in this World means you allowing MONEY to drive you towards GOD in Christ in this World in terms of:
1. You allowing MONEY to be a servant that helps you serve GOD in Christ better and best in this World.
2. You allowing MONEY to be a defence that helps you to do service for GOD in Christ better and best in this World.
The Bible reveals that:
A feast is made for laughter and wine makes merry. But MONEY answers ALL things.
(Ecclesiastes 10:19).
However, you determine how MONEY answers ALL things for you in Christ in this World. That is, either to please GOD or to please Self, Satan and Sinners in this World. Yes!
Again, the Bible reveals that:
For wisdom is a defence and MONEY is a DEFENCE. But the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom gives life to them that have it. (Ecclesiastes 7:12).
Again, you determine how MONEY will be a defence for you in Christ in this World. That is, eitger to please God or to please Self, Satan and Sinners in this World. True!
Allowing MONEY to be a winning WEAPON rather than an object of WORSHIP, will see you pleasing GOD in Christ in your MONEY making, managing and multiplying in this World, instead of pleasing Self, Satan and Sinners in this World. True!
Jesus Christ counsels thus:
Lay NOT up for yourselves treasures upon Earth, where moth and rust does corrupt and where thieves break through and steal.
But lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust does corrupt and where thieves do not break through nor steal.
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (Matthew 6:19-21; Matthew 25:31-46; Isaiah 55:1,2).
Always remember:
...Godliness with contentment is great gain.
For we brought NOTHING into this world and it is certain we can carry NOTHING out.
And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. (1 Timothy 6:6-8).
This is because, when ALL is said and done on this side of life, what will matter most, is not WHAT you have done with MONEY for your self, which is good, but WHAT you have done with MONEY for GOD in terms of reconciling and restoring HUMANITY back to Him through Jesus Christ in this World, which is better and best in the sight and side of GOD to live for in Christ in this World.
Therefore the hallmark of you still being ALIVE in Christ in this World, which MONEY has a critical role to play is this:
Therefore if any man (or woman) be in Christ, he (or she) is a NEW creature. Old things are passed away. Behold, ALL things are become NEW.
And ALL things are of God, who has RECONCILED us to Himself by Jesus Christ and has GIVEN to US the MINISTRY of RECONCILIATION.
To wit, that GOD was in Christ, RECONCILING the World unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them. And has COMMITTED unto US the WORD of RECONCILIATION.
Now then we are AMBASSADORS for Christ, as though GOD did beseech you by us. We pray you in Christ's stead (sake), be you RECONCILED to God.
For He (God) has made Him (Jesus Christ) to be SIN for US who knew no sin. That WE might be made the RIGHTEOUSNESS of GOD in Him. (2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Colossians 3:1-4; Matthew 5:13-16).
The above is one of the real reason, the Bible says that:
Cry yet, saying, thus says the LORD of hosts. My cities THROUGH prosperity shall yet be SPREAD abroad. And the LORD shall yet comfort Zion and shall yet choose Jerusalem. (Zechariah 1:17).
Making, managing and multiplying MONEY with Kingdom-mindset is one of the critical and primary reason, God has BLESSED you in Christ in this World. (Ephesians 1:3,4; EEphesians 2:5-10).
Take note, take heed!
Therefore, if you do, you set up yourself for a NEW BEGINNING and NEW THINGS from this month of AUGUST. Yes, you are!
