Previously, I informed you that the POWER of the divine COVENANT agreement or relationship, you and I are in with GOD in Christ in this World is based on the OATH (swearing Word) of God, which establish it (on Christ). And because of that you and I cannot be overcome by Satan in Christ in this World, expect God or we permit him. Read write-up (2) of this series for more.
For today, I will be informing you of the PRINCIPLES of divine COVENANT to enlighten and enable you think, speak and LIVE a COVENANT mindset to VICTORY and to SUCCESS in Christ in this World.
GOD is a GOD of order and He does all His things by order and for order sake.
In another words, GOD is a GOD of purpose and He does all His things by purpose and for purpose sake.
Furthermore, GOD is a GOD of PRINCIPLE and He does all His things by PRINCIPLE and for PRINCIPLE sake.
If you carefully observe several things in this World, you will see the orders, purposes or PRINCIPLES of God playing out perfectly and progressively in them.
However, the PRINCIPLES of God are products of the WORD of GOD spoken or written to humanity, especially to His own people in terms:
1. The Law of the Lord (God).
2. The Testimony of the Lord (God).
3. The Statute of the Lord (God).
4. The Commandments of the Lord (God).
5. The Fear of the Lord (God).
6. The Judgment of the Lord (God).
(Psalm 19:7-14).
The Bible reveals that through FAITH we understand that the WORLDS were framed by the WORD OF GOD, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. (Hebrews 11:3).
The PRINCIPLES of the COVENANT of God in Christ are written in Scripture.
Therefore, Bible reveals that we (you and I in Christ) have also a SURE WORD of prophecy; whereunto you DO WELL that you TAKE HEED, as unto a LIGHT that SHINES in a dark place, until the day dawn and the DAY STAR (Jesus Christ) arise in your hearts. Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the SCRIPTURE is of any PRIVATE interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the Will of man, but holy Men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. (2 Peter 1:20,21).
The Bible further reveals that ALL SCRIPTURE (divine principles) is given by INSPIRATION of GOD and is PROFITABLE for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the MAN (and woman) of GOD may be PERFECT, through furnished unto ALL good works. (2Timothy 3:16,17).
Thus, there are two sides to the PRINCIPLES of the divine COVENANT in Christ:
1. That which is TO BE DONE by you and I for the COVENANT to profit you and I in Christ in this World. That is, the DO principles of the divine Covenant in Christ in this World.
2. That which is NOT TO BE DONE by you and I for the COVENANT not to profit you and I in Christ in this World. That is, the DO NOT principles of the divine Covenant in Christ in this World.
Unfortunately, the Scripture (Bible) contains so much divine PRINCIPLES (of do or do not) of the COVENANT, which are consciously and unconsciously ignored and disobeyed daily by many genuine CHILDREN of GOD in Christ in this World and who are still expecting God to perform miracles, signs and wonders for them in Christ in this World. How sad this is?
They forget that it only the WILLING and OBEDIENT, who eats the good fruits of the land. (Isaiah 1:19,20).
In other for the Children of Israel to enjoy the benefits of the divine COVENANT agreement or relationship they are in with God, Moses informed them thus:
And it shall come to pass, if thou shall HEARKEN (take heed) diligently unto the Voice of the Lord your God, to OBSERVE (obey) and DO all His COMMANDMENTS which I command you this day, that the Lord your God will SET you on high above all nations of the earth.
Bless shall you....(Deuteronomy 28:1-14).
But it shall come to pass, if you will not HEARKEN (take heed) unto the Voice of the Lord thy God, to OBSERVE (obey) to DO all His COMMANDMENTS and Statutes which I command you this day; that all these CURSES shall come upon you and overtake you.
Curse shall you....(Deuteronomy 28:15-68).
The same truth still holds today for you and I in Christ in this World. Yes, it is!
Also, in order for Joshua to enjoy the benefits of His divine COVENANT, the Lord Himself instructed him thus:
This book of the law (today, the Bible) shall NOT DEPART out of your MOUTH, but you shall MEDITATE (think) therein day and night, that you may OBSERVE (obey) to DO (the to DO principles of the Covenant) according to ALL that is written therein; for then you shall make your way PROSPEROUS and then you shall have GOOD SUCCESS. (Joshua 1:8).
The same truth still holds today for you and I in Christ in this World and if you observe the above scriptural verse carefully, you will notice it is you and I responsibility to make our way PROSPEROUS and have GOOD SUCCESS in Christ in this World. Yes, it is!
Are you asking how?
1. By SPEAKING consciously and consistently the WORD of GOD (the DO principles of His Covenant) in Christ in this World.
2. By THINKING consciously and consistently the WORD of GOD (the DO principles of His Covenant) in Christ in this World.
3. By LIVING consciously and consistently the WORD of GOD (the DO principles of His Covenant) in Christ in this World.
Therefore:
You need and must KNOW the PRINCIPLES (that is, the DO and DO NOT of the Word of God in Christ) of the COVENANT and OBSERVE to DO, for you to enjoy its benefit or for it to profit you in Christ in this World. (James 1:19-25).
This is a true and faithful saying my friend.
The Bible reveals that God says My people (you and I) are destroyed for LACK of KNOWLEDGE (not of lack of anointing)...But THROUGH KNOWLEDGE shall the JUST (you and I, who are justified or approved by Gid in Christ in this World) be DELIVERED. (Hosea 4:6; Proverbs 11:9).
For example, one of DO NOT of the PRINCIPLES of the divine COVENANT in Christ in this World says:
Love NOT the World, neither the things that in the World. If any man (or woman) LOVE the World, the Love of the Father is NOT in him.
For ALL that is in the World, the lust of the FLESH, the lust of the EYES and the PRIDE of Life, is NOT of the Father, but is of the World.
And the World passes away and the lust thereof, but he (or she) that does in the WILL of GOD (that is, the DOS of the Principle of the COVENANT) abides forever. (1 John 2:15-17).
Sadly, many COVENANT Children of God in Christ in this World today are knowingly and unknowingly thinking, speaking and LIVING like the people of the World and still expecting the benefits of the COVENANT of God in Christ in this World to manifest in their life and affairs daily. It cannot be friend!
The Bible says that be not DECEIVED, GOD is not mocked, for whatsoever a man (you and I) sows, that shall he also reap. For he that sows to his FLESH (by out of lust) shall by the flesh reap corruption (death), but he that sows to the Spirit (by out of love) shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. (Galatians 6:7,8; James 1:12-15).
Get your THINKING aligned with the PRINCIPLES of the COVENANT and get the PROMISES of the COVENANT released to you in Christ in this World in due time.
Get your SPEAKING aligned with the PRINCIPLES of the COVENANT and get the PROMISES of the COVENANT released to you in Christ in this World in due time.
Get your LIVING aligned with the PRINCIPLES of the COVENANT and the PROMISES of the COVENANT released to you in Christ in this World in due time.
Knowing and obeying the PRINCIPLES of the COVENANT precedes enjoying the PROMISES of the COVENANT. (Psalm 1:1-3; Romans 12:1,2; Philippians 4:8,9).
That is why Apostle Paul encouraged Timothy (you and I today) to STUDY to SHOW yourself APPROVED unto GOD, a Workman that needs not to be ASHAMED, rightly dividing the WORD of TRUTH. (2 Timothy 2:15; Colossians 3:16).
Even JESUS CHRIST says He came not to destroy the LAW dimension of the PRINCIPLES of the COVENANT, but to fulfil it. (Matthew 5:17-20).
Likewise, you are ask to know, obey and fulfil the relevant PRINCIPLES for the NEW TESTAMENT (covenant) Christians, to enjoy the benefits for the New Testament (covenant) Christians in Christ in this World.
