Today I am led to share my response to someone who wrote me thus:
Evening sir...I need help with LUST.
Now, my response:
First, I will want you to know that LUST and PRIDE are the gateways to any form of SIN and DEATH in this World and only the WILL of God pleases God and lasts forever. True! Take note, take heed!
The Bible reveals this truth thus:
Love NOT the World, neither the things that are in the World. If any man LOVE the WORLD, the love of the Father is not in him. For ALL that is IN the World, the LUST of the FLESH, and the LUST of the EYES, and the PRIDE of LIFE, is not of the Father, but is of the World. And the World passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that does the WILL of God abides for ever. (1 John 2:15-17).
Furthermore, the Bible reveals thus:
Blessed is the man that endures temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them that love him. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempts he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is DRAWN AWAY of his own LUST, and ENTICED. Then when lust had CONCEIVED, it brings forth sin: and SIN, when it is finished, brings forth DEATH. (James 1:12-15).
Do you get it?
So, whenever you starting LUSTING, you are not far from SINNING against God and DEATH is not far from you.
Now, concerning LUSTING after FEMALE.
Naturally speaking, females are attractive to males. That is God design. True!
However, it becomes LUST when you desire to have SEXUAL INTERCOURSE with a female who is not your wife. True!
Now, the:
FIRST STEP to deal with LUST is PRAYER.
Jesus Christ told is disciples to pray, so that they do not fall into temptation thus:
Watch and PRAY, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. (Matthew 26:41).
SECOND STEP is to make a DECISION and COMMITMENT to God that you will present your body as a living sacrifice, holy unto him thus:
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you PRESENT your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. (Romans: 12. 1).
THIRD STEP is RENEW your MIND with the Word of God daily thus:
And be NOT conformed to this World: but be ye transformed by the RENEWING of your MIND, that you may PROVE what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, WILL of God. (Romans 12:2; Colossians 2:8-10; Matthew 7:13-27).
Lastly, FOURTH STEP is to practice NO CONTACT, NO CONTRACT principle. I do this all the time. When you see you are lusting towards a particular lady, LIMIT your contact with such lady and never be alone in a secret place with her.
Now, don't allow Satan makes you FEEL GUILTY wanting you to accept who you are NOT in Christ. Your OLD (outer) MAN of your FLESH maybe longing after females, but your NEW (inner) MAN of the SPIRIT of Christ is not. That is the real you, so resist and reject Satan's lies and say no to your old man.
You are a NEW CREATION in Christ with your old (outer) man of the FLESH still present within you. Only don't give occasions to the flesh to prevail over your spirit. (2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 5:13).
Now, read this:
For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but SIN that DWELLS in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwells no good thing: for to WILL is present with me; but HOW to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but SIN that dwells in me. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the LAW of GOD after the INWARD MAN: But I see another law in my members, warring against the LAW of my MIND, and bringing me into captivity to the LAW of SIN which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then WITH the MIND I myself serve the LAW of GOD; but with the flesh the law of sin. (Romans 7:14-25).
That was Apostle Paul's experience, but he overcame his struggle by focusing his MIND on the Word of God. That is serving the laws of God.
Therefore, he counselled thus:
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are HONEST, whatsoever things are JUST, whatsoever things are PURE, whatsoever things are LOVELY, whatsoever things are of GOOD REPORTS; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, THINK on these things. Those things, which you have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the GOD of PEACE shall be with you. (Philippians 4:8,9).
Once again, passionate PRAYER based on the Word of God against the spirit of LUST is one effective way of defeating the demon of lust.
Each of us in Christ currently in this World have personal responsibility to lay aside every WEIGHT and SIN that easily (lustfully) beset us and RUN with patient the RACE that is set before each of us, LOOKING unto Jesus Christ, who is the Author and Finisher of our Faith. True! Take note, take heed! (Hebrews 12:1-4).
Each of us have the personal duty with the HELP of the Holy Spirit of Christ that is within each of us in this World to deal with our LUST because God does NOT answer any of our LUSTFUL prayers or requests, but only those that are according to His WILL in Christ Jesus for us in this World. True! Take note, take heed! (James 4:1-5; 1 John 5:14,15; Romans 8).
And LUST, PRIDE and SIN gives Satan right or permission to touch us, even though we are in Christ in this wicked World. Therefore, LIVE WISELY among people of the World and before the sight of God because SIN is foolishness and wicked act against God that attracts His PUNISHMENT if not repented from and His FORGIVENESS if repented from. True! Take note, take heed! (1 John 5:18-21; Psalm 1:1-3; Ephesians 5:15-18; 1 John 1:8-10).

Now whatsoever is your KIND of LUST, the above stated steps withe the HELP of the Holy Spirit of Christ that is within you will assist you to OVERCOME it and to live a victorious life in Christ in this World that is pleasing to God and which ATTRACTS His REWARD on Earth now and in Heaven someday. True! (1 Peter 5:6-10; Hebrews 11:6; Luke 18:18-30).
