It is written, is any MERRY? Let him SING psalms. (James 5:13)
This is to say, it is wrong in the sight and side of God that you as His genuine Child in Christ in this World to PLAY, SING and DANCE to worldly songs when you have any kind of CELEBRATION (being it naming ceremony, graduation party, Birthday party, wedding reception, etc). True! It is ungodly and unacceptable in the sight and side of God to play, sing and dance to worldly SONGS of any kind before, during and after any kind of celebration yout are involve in. True! Therefore, I am sent this day to WARN you to STOP playing, singing and dancing to worldly SONGS of any kind. This is because worldly SONGS are ungodly and unholy before God and they do not glorify God in any way. And very important to note is that the kind of songs played, sang and danced to determines the kind of spirit personality that be will glorified and manifested during such time. That is why the Bible reveals to us that You (God) art holy, O You (God) that INHABITS the PRAISES of Israel. Also, that is why Apostle Paul counselled us to see then that you walk circumspectly, not as FOOLS, but as WISE, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be you not UNWISE, but UNDERSTANDING what the WILL of the Lord is. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be FILLED with the SPIRIT; Speaking to yourselves in PSALMS and HYMNS and SPIRITUAL SONGS, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; GIVING THANKS always for ALL things unto God and the Father in the NAME of our Lord Jesus Christ. You are not walking wisely in Christ playing, singing and dancing to worldly SONGS before, during and after any of your celebration because you will not be giving God glory or inviting the HOLY SPIRIT to your celebration, but EVIL SPIRIT. This is because SONGS are SPIRITUAL in nature behind and beyond the entertainment and pleasure that they give you par time. True! I feel so sad when I attend Christian brothers' or sisters' occasions (especially wedding reception) and find out they are playing, singing and dancing to worldly SONGS instead of godly and holy SONGS, something just quench in me and I feel like leaving almost immediately. Truth to be told is that worldly SONGS GRIEVES and QUENCHES the HOLY SPIRIT in us and around us making Him not to be able to carry out divine work in our life and those present in our celebrations. Why do Christians make MOCKERY of our God and His Christ in us before the the people of the World? Why? Are we not alone PROUD of our God and His Christ in us that makes us His beloved Children and representatives in this World? Must we be IDENTIFY with the World to feel belong and important? Are we not suppose to be the SALTS of the Earth and LIGHTS of the World? Are we not a chosen GENERATION, a royal PRIESTHOOD, a holy NATION and a peculiar PEOPLE called out by God in Christ from the darkness of the World to SHOW FORTH His glorious Light in Christ to the World? Are we not? Are we not proud of WHO we are in Christ and WHAT we have in Christ? It is well with us all who claimed to be Christ's followers in this generation and DENY Him in everything we do. I think we have forgotten so soon that Jesus Christ Himself said if we DENY Him before men on Earth, He will DENY us before His Father in Heaven. I believe that is why we do not see so miraculous manifestations like in the days of the Bible in our lives after we have prayed so much. May the Lord help us all in Jesus name. However, I am sent to inform you that pleasing GOD matters and one way of pleasing Him is to consciously and sacrificially play, sing and dance to SPIRITUAL (godly and holy) SONGS, PSALMS and HYMNS in your homes, offices, business place, car and very importantly, during your time of celebration to keep the Presence, Peace and Power of God in you and with you at all times and to glorify His Holy name at all times as well. If you do, the PRESENCE, PEACE and POWER of God will always be in you and with you as I earlier said for the MIRACULOUS to happen in your life and affairs unexpectedly and evil spirits will be far from you and evil humans will be rendered powerless to hurt you because God dwells powerfully in your praises to Him par time. True! Halleluyah! Now, lest I forget, all I have said above is also applicable to the kind of things you play and watch on TV in your homes and offices because what you listen to or watch forms and influences your THOUGHTS, pervades your WORDS and manipulates your ACTIONS (choices and decisions) that in the nutshell, changes your DESTINY pathway wrongly in this World. Please take note! Finally, you must always keep in mind that though you are in this World, you are not of this World. You must always remind yourself that you are a STRANGER here in this World who is on a SPIRITUAL journey home to Heaven. Therefore, ALL you do in Christ in this World must be PLEASING to God your heavenly Father who is earnestly waiting for you at your heavenly home in Heaven. True! Halleluyah!
