Oh, how I so desire at this moment of my spiritual growth, understanding and journey to see that EACH and EVERY one who is genuinely born again in Christ come to a reasonable SPIRITUAL level of MATURITY in Christ. Oh, how I love to see it happen soon and in my lifetime, Lord!
You might be surprised why I am desiring this or better said, lamenting. One of the reason is because as long as you remain a SPIRITUAL BABY (child) in Christ, you cannot really become, receive and achieve anything really meaningful for God, others (humanity) and yourself in Christ in this World. True! Take note, take heed!
Apostle Paul revealed this saddening TRUTH thus:
Now I say, that the heir, as long as he is a CHILD, differs nothing from a SERVANT, though he be lord of all; But is under tutors and governors UNTIL the time appointed of the father. My little CHILDREN, of whom I travail in birth again until CHRIST be FORMED in you. (Galatians 4:1,2,19).
Do you know that Apostle Paul also lamented as I am currently doing now thus:
For when for the time YOU ought to be teachers, YOU have need that one teach you AGAIN which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that uses milk is unskilful in the Word of righteousness: for he is a BABE (immature in Christ). But strong meat belongs to them that are of FULL AGE (mature in Christ), even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. (Hebrews 5:12-14).
Likewise, Apostle Peter called us to grow from being a spiritual CHILD (baby) in Christ to being a spiritual ADULT in Christ thus:
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the Word, that YOU may GROW thereby: (1 Peter 2:2).
It is true that everyone in Christ who has attained some level of MATURITY in Christ was once IMMATURE in the things of Christ. True, but this is because they consciously REFUSED to SETTLE for LESS in Christ. True! Apostle Paul said thus:
When I was a CHILD (spiritual babe in Christ), I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a MAN (spiritual adult in Christ), I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. (1 Corinthians 13:11,12).
Don't be deceived, there are spiritual and physical LIMITS you placed on your life in Christ in this World by remaining at a level of spiritual BABY (immaturity) in Christ. True! Likewise, there are certain levels of spiritual and physical LIFTINGS (breakthroughs and break-forths) you ONLY can enter and enjoy, when you consciously and consistently GROW into different levels of spiritual ADULTHOOD (maturity) in Christ in this World. True! Take note, take heed! (3 John 1:2).
Now know and note that:
1. Matured (RISEN) Christians sets their affection and seeks those things above (in Heaven including the Will, Purpose and Plan of God in Christ for them on Earth) where Christ sits on the right hand of God the Father and they are ABLE to use their spiritual SENSES to DISCERN between what is good and what is evil par time and they CAN boldly and sacrificially CHOOSE and DO that which good in the sight and side of God par time without fear or favour to anyone. True!
2. Immatured (UNRISEN) Christians in Christ sets their affection and seeks those things on Earth (excluding the Will, Purpose and Plan of God in Christ in Heaven for them on Earth) and they are NOT ABLE to use their spiritual SENSES to DISCERN between what is good and what is evil par time and they CANNOT boldly and sacrificially CHOOSE and DO that which is good in the sight and side of God par time without fear or favour to anyone. True! (Colossians 3:1-4; 1 John 2:15-17; Hebrews 5:12-14; Matthew 6:9,10; 1 Corinthians 2:9-16; 1 John 2:27; Romans 8:14,26-28; Psalm 82:5-7).
