It is still strange to many genuine Christians that we are NOT our own, we have been BOUGHT with a PRICE of the precious BLOOD of Jesus Christ. Therefore, we are NOT to seek our OWN word, ways and will on Earth, but that of God in Christ for us par time in this World. True! Take note, take heed!
The Bible reveals this to us thus:
What? Know you NOT that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God, and YOU are NOT your OWN? For you are BOUGHT with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. (1 Corinthians 6:19,20; Romans 12:1,2).
Apostle Paul acknowledged and accepted this truth when he said thus:
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the LIFE which I NOW live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me. (Galatians 2:20).
Furthermore, Apostle Paul counselled us to find out or prove what is the good, acceptable and perfect WILL of GOD in all things thus:
And be NOT conformed to this World: but be you transformed by the RENEWING of your MIND, that you may PROVE what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, WILL of God. (Romans 12:2).
This is because as God is concerned you are a deceiving yourself or you are a BACKSLIDER if you are NOT thinking, speaking and more importantly DOING His Word, Ways and Will in Christ for you par time par your situation in this World. True! Take note, take heed! (James 1:22-25).
The Bible reveals that anyone who thinks, speaks and LIVES by his or her own ways is a BACKSLIDER thus:
The BACKSLIDER in heart shall be filled with his OWN ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself. (Proverbs 14:14).
Are you a BACKSLIDER?
Are you filled with your own words or words of the World instead of the WORDS of God in Christ for you? (Colossians 3:16,17).
Are you filled with your own ways or ways of the World instead of the WAYS of God in Christ for you? (Colossians 2:8-10).
Are you filled with your own wills or wills of the World instead of the WILLS of God in Christ for you? (Matthew 6:9,10; Colossians 3:1-4; 1 John 5:14,15).
Don't be deceived, the Bible clearly says that:
1. If you have PRIORITIES that are not God's Word, Ways and Will driven, you are a BACKSLIDER in the sight of God. True! Take more, take heed and REPENT now and seek God's priorities for you before is too late. (1 Corinthians 2:9-16).
2. If you have PLANS that are not God's Word, Ways and Will driven, you are a BACKSLIDER in the sight of God. True! Take more, take heed and REPENT now and seek God's plans for you before is too late. (Jeremiah 29:11).
3. If you have PURPOSES that are not God's Word, Ways and Will driven, you are a BACKSLIDER in the sight of God. True! Take more, take heed and REPENT now and seek God's purposes for you before is too late. (Romans 8:28-30).
4. If you make CHOICES that are not God's Word, Ways and Will driven, you are a BACKSLIDER in the sight of God. True! Take more, take heed and REPENT now and seek God's choices for you before is too late. (James 1:12-15).
5. If you take DECISIONS that are not God's Word, Ways and Will driven, you are a BACKSLIDER in the sight of God. True! Take more, take heed and REPENT now and seek God's decisions for you before is too late. (1 John 2:15-17).
6. If you make PRAYER POINTS that are not God's Word, Ways and Will driven, you are a BACKSLIDER in the sight of God. True! Take more, take heed and REPENT now and seek God's prayer points for you before is too late. (James 4:1-5; Matthew 6:9,10; 1 John 5:14,15).
7. And so on.
Many genuine Christians are BACKSLIDERS in the sight of God because they are knowingly or unknowingly thinking, speaking and running their lives based on their OWN words, ways and wills and that is WHY nothing miraculous is really happening in their lives and situations. So sad, so bad! This is because God only honours His Word, Ways and Will par time. True! Take note, take heed!
Now know and note that for you to be SEEN by God NOT to be a BACKSLIDER, you must learn to consciously and consistently acknowledge, seek or consult Him (God) on ALL matters and knows His mind first before thinking, speaking and DOING any thing par time par your situation. True! (Proverbs 3:3-5; Joshua 1:8).
That is why the Bible clearly says that it is ONLY those who are being LED by the Spirit of God are the true Sons (and daughters) of God in Christ in this World. They are the genuine Sons and daughters of God in His sight. They are the ones that truly and really enter and enjoy God's GRACE in Christ par time in this World. True! (Romans 8:14; Galatians 5:18; 1 Corinthians 2:9-16).
Are you a BACKSLIDER in the sight of God?
Think about it and urgently do something about it if you are one. (Jeremiah 3:22; Jeremiah 2:19).
Finally,
1. A serious Christian (Christ's follower) must always FIRST and FOREMOST seek to know the mind of God by the help of the Holy Spirit of Christ that is within him or her concerning a matter before consideting his or her own or any other person's opinion on that matter. And he or she gives FIRST PRIORITY to what he or she has ffound out is the mind of God. True! Take note, take heed! (Proverbs 3:3-7; Matthew 6:33).
2. A serious Christian (Christ's follower) must be DELIBERATE with his or her thoughts, words, choices and decisions, actions par time. He or she must make sure they line up with the Words, Ways and Wills of God in Christ for him or her par time par his or her situation in this World. True! Take note, take heed! (Colossians 3:16,17; Philippians 4:8,9; Psalm 1:1-3; Psalm 19:7-14).
