Three (3) things that drives the World and if you are knowingly or unknowingly doing:
1. Makes you a spiritual ADULTERER or ADULTERESS in the sight and side of God. True!
2. Makes you a FRIEND to the World and an ENEMY of GOD. True!
3. Makes you not to QUALIFY for God's FAVOUR and HELP in Christ. True!
4. Makes you a CANDIDATE for HELL at last, even though you are genuinely born again in Christ, if you do not consciously and consistently avoid or deal with them in this World. True!
The Bible in James reveals to us that we can become the ADULTERER or ADULTERESS and ENEMY of GOD, when we become FRIEND of the WORLD consciously or unconsciously. (James 4:4,5).
Now what are those THREE (3) THINGS that drives the World that if you allow any one if them to drive you, position your negatively or as an ENEMY against God even though you a genuine Christian?
1. Lust of the FLESH - uncontrollable desire for sex, food, sleep, etc to an extend of going against God's standard for Saints in Christ in this World.
2. Lust of the EYES - uncontrollable desire for beauty, trend, materials things, etc to an extend of going against God's standard for Saints in Christ in this World.
3. Pride of LIFE - uncontrollable desire for position, power, popularity, etc to an extend of going against God's standard for Saints in Christ in this World.
The Bible reveals this true to us thus:
Love NOT the World, neither the THINGS that are in the World. If any man LOVE the WORLD, the love of the Father is NOT in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the FLESH, and the lust of the EYES, and the pride of LIFE, is not of the Father, but is of the World. And the World passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that does the WILL of GOD abides for ever. (1 John 2:15-17).
Don't be deceived, but
1. Always remember in every thing you do in Christ, it is the WILL OF GOD that matters before God, nothing else as revealed in the scriptural reference above. (Matthew 6:9,10; Matthew 7:21; John 4:33,34).
2. Always remember to seek, accept and do the WILL OF GOD in all things you do in this World and you will be an ENEMY to the World, but a FRIEND to GOD and attract His mighty power, protection and provisions for all your needs in this World. True! Take note, take heed! (Romans 12:1,2; 1 John 5:14,15).
3. Always remember that by the HELP of the Holy Spirit of Christ that is within you, if you put your LUSTS and PRIDE under the control of the Word, Ways and WILL of God, Satan, demons and your human enemies will not have influence and POWER over you to commit SIN against GOD and become the ENEMY of GOD. True! Take note, take heed! (James 1:12-15; Hebrews 12:1-4).
Finally, let me shock you with this, as part of the Holy Spirit responsibility to PREPARE you for your service to God and humanity on Earth and to make you fit for Heaven at last, the Holy Spirit will occasionally leads you (who is genuinely in Christ) into TEMPTATION (test and trial) situations, so that you will be tempted by the Tempter (Satan) as He did for Jesus Christ in Luke 4, especially in your area of LUST and PRIDE. This is to expose you to your hidden areas of SIN and to CHASTE (discipline) you in your area of LUST and PRIDE as revealed in Hebrews 12. Will you change your ways or will you fall and disappoint God? Check yourself now and get yourself grounded in the Word, Ways and Will of God in Christ for you and stay COMMITTED, no matter what. (Luke 4:1,2; Hebrews 12:1-14; James 1:12-15; 1 Peter 5:6-10).
It time to radically drag your FLESH (in terms of your LUST and PRIDE) to Jesus Christ before it drag you not only into serious problems in this World, but to HELL at last. God forbid!
