Previously, I informed you that living after worldly REPUTATION instead of living after godly CHARACTER will hinder you from discovering and fulfilling your DIVINE DESTINY in Christ in this World. Read write-up (10) of this series for more.
For today, one of the hindrances to DIVINE DESTINY discovery and fulfilment in Christ in this World is being in RELIGION with GOD instead of being in RELATIONSHIP with GOD.
Being in RELIGION with GOD in Christ in this World talks of being in an unreal and unfriendly RELATIONSHIP (fellowship or worship) with God in Christ in this World
Being in RELATIONSHIP with GOD in Christ in this World talks of being in a real and friendly RELATIONSHIP (fellowship or worship) with God in Christ in this World.
Many genuine CHILDREN OF GOD are knowingly or unknowingly in an unreal and unfriendly fellowship or worship with God in Christ in this World. They have no real and friendly fellowship or worship with God in Christ in the World. They have RELIGIOUS mindset instead of RELATIONSHIP mindset in their dealings with God in Christ in this World.
This is because they are in FRIENDSHIP with the World instead of FRIENDSHIP with God. Therefore, unknowingly to them and though they are genuinely saved in Christ, they are ENEMIES to God according to the Bible. (James 4:2-5).
When you are in an UNREAL and UNFRIENDLY relationship with GOD in Christ, any divine SECRETS you are suppose to know about (including that of your DIVINE DESTINY discovery and fulfilment in Christ in this World) will be HIDDEN from you by the SPIRIT OF GOD within you par time in this World.
However, when you are in an REAL and FRIENDLY relationship with GOD in Christ, any divine SECRETS you are suppose to know about (including that of your DIVINE DESTINY discovery and fulfilment in Christ in this World) will be REVEALED to you by the SPIRIT OF GOD within you par time in this World. (1 Corinthians 2:9-14).
The Bible reveals that Abraham was a FRIEND OF GOD. See what God said to Himself: and the Lord said, shall I HIDE from Abraham that things which I do;
seeing that Abraham shall surely BECOME (by his divine destiny) a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? For KNOW him, that he will COMMAND his children and his household after him, and they shall KEEP the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he has spoken of him. (Genesis 18:18,19).
Abraham is in a REAL and FRIENDSHIP relationship with God, therefore, God knew he will COMMAND his children and household after him in righteousness, Therefore, He (God) said to Himself that He had no real need to HIDE anything from him (Abraham). Hmm!
Can God say such cconcerning you and I in Christ in this World and in this age?
The Bible reveals that the SECRET of the Lord are with them that FEAR him and He will SHOW them His covenant. (Psalm 25:14).
If truly you FEAR God you will depart from SIN (friendship with the World).
The Bible reveals that those who are in FRIENDSHIP with the World are ENEMIES of God. (James 4:4).
Are you a FRIEND OF GOD or an ENEMY OF GOD in Christ in this World?
No one shares his or her SECRETS with any person who is an ENEMY to him or her. No one, even you! It is high level foolishness to do so. Yes!
God will not for any reason share His SECRETS (including the knowledge of your DIVINE DESTINY discovery and fulfilment in Christ in this World) with you, if you are His ENEMY by being in FRIENDSHIP with the World instead of HIM (God).
God is a JEALOUS God. He will not give or share His GLORY with ANYONE or ANYTHING else in your life in Christ in this World for any reason. It must be Him alone and nothing else with Him in your life to get His SECRETS in Christ (including the secret knowledge of your DIVINE DESTINY discovery and fulfilment in Christ in this World) reveal to YOU in this World.
JESUS CHRIST says that but the hour comes, and NOW is, when true WORSHIPPERS (those in real and friendly spiritual relationship with God) shall worship (in friendly fellowship or relationship) the Father in SPIRIT and in TRUTH: for the Father SEEKS such to worship Him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth. (John 4:23,24).
JESUS CHRIST says to His disciples (you and I today) that:
This is my commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved you. (John 15:12)
Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his FRIENDS. (John15:13).
You are my FRIENDS, if you do whatsoever I command you. (John 15:14).
Henceforth; I call you not SERVANTS; for the servant knows not what his lord does: but I have called you FRIENDS; for ALL things that I have HEARD of my Father I have made KNOWN unto you. (John 15:15).
JESUS CHRIST reveals by the above scriptural verses that UNREAL and UNFRIENDLY (religious) walk with GOD in Him reveals not the SECRETS of God (including the secret knowledge of one's DIVINE DESTINY discovery and fulfilment in Christ) to any genuine CHILD OF GOD in this World. True!
However, JESUS CHRIST reveals by the above scriptural verses that REAL and FRIENDLY (relationship) walk with GOD in Him reveals the SECRETS of God (including the secret knowledge of one's DIVINE DESTINY discovery and fulfilment in Christ) to any genuine CHILD OF GOD in this World. True!
This means that you determine in Christ, if you want to discover and fulfill your DIVINE DESTINY (reason of existence) in Christ in this World by either:
1. being unreal and unfriendly with God by being in FRIENDSHIP with the World or
2. being real and friendly with God by being an ENEMY to the World. True! (John 15:13-27).
You NOW got to chose WISELY and SMARTLY. Yes! (Deuteronomy 30:19,20; Joshua 24:15; Romans 12:1,2).
Always remember that...the Lord will give GRACE and GLORY: no GOOD thing will He withhold from them (you) that WALK upright (in a real and friendly RELATIONSHIP with Him in Christ in this World). Oh Lord of hosts, BLESSED is the man (person) that trusts in you. True! (Psalm 84:11,12).
You are BLESSED already for TRUSTING in God in Christ in this World against ALL odds. Therefore, I say:
