Today's Focus: Asking the Lord, WHAT do you want or have me to do? Can change your life forever!
Many Christians have NOT asked the Lord Jesus this all important QUESTION that Apostle Paul asked Him after his conversion, when he supernaturally encountered Him (Jesus Christ) on his way to Damascus to persecute Christians.
What is this all important QUESTION?
Lord, What do you want or have me to do? (Acts 9:1-6).
I believe this should be the first QUESTION each and every true believer in the Lord Jesus should ask Him after his or her CONVERSION (born-again) encounter or experience. True!
It is a question of DIRECTION seeking in Christ.
It is a question of PURPOSE seeking in Christ in this World.
It is question of VISION seeking in Christ in this World.
It is a question of MISSION seeking in Christ in this World.
It is a question of MINISTRY seeking in Christ in this World. (1 Corinthians 2:9-16; Colossians 4:17; Matthew 7:8,9).
Therefore, until you come to a place in your WALK (relationship) with God to ASK Him, Lord, WHAT do you want or have me to do, you will not come to your WORK (partnership) with Him and you will not grow deeper in your relationship with Him. True!
I do not believe that every genuine Child of God in Christ must FOLLOW the same pathway of learning, growing, receiving and working in Christ after his or her born-again experience. Each of us must ASK after our born-again encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ, Lord what do you WANT or HAVE me do? I can assure you, each of us will have different answer on what to do next to get growing and get going on our WALK (relationship) and WORK (partnership) with God in Christ in this World. True! (1 Corinthians 3:6-15).
Therefore, it is the answer you personally get from the QUESTION you ask the Lord, WHAT do you want or have me do? that moves you into:
1. True and unique RELATIONSHIP (walk) with God in Christ in this World and
2. Real and unique PARTNERSHIP (work) with God in Christ in this World. True!
Apostle Paul was directed on WHAT to do thereafter he asked and his life onward was never the same again on the surface of the Earth. (Acts 9:1-22).
You too can change your current STATE (condition) and STATUS (position) in the sight and side of God on the surface of the Earth, if you will sincerely and passionately ASK Him in prayer, Lord, WHAT do you want or have me do? And you humbly and obediently GO and DO what you are told to do in Christ in this World. True! (Romans 8:14-19).
This is the message I was instructed by the Lord to pass to you this weekend to ponder on. Take note, take heed!
Today's Focus from Scripture:
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are His workmanship, CREATED in Christ Jesus UNTO good works, which God has before ORDAINED that we should walk IN them. (Ephesians 2:5-10).
