Today's Focus: CHRIST has RISEN, so then WHAT about YOU?
The Bible reveals that when Jesus Christ resurrected or rose, we in Him likewise resurrected or rose with Him. Halleluyah! (Romans 6:1-5; Colossians 3:1-4).
However, He ROSE from the GRAVE beneath the Earth (DEATH) to sit at the Right Hand of the Father in Heaven (LIFE). But, while this is spiritually true for Him and us, who are spiritually hidden in Him, we in Him (Christ) still physically live here on Earth. True!
Then, the question should be, what are the PROOFS that we who are spiritually hidden in Him, but still living physically on Earth, have spiritually RESURRECTED or RISEN with Him truly?
According to the Bible, the proofs are:
Firstly, when we consciously and consistently SEEK the things ABOVE and
Secondly, when we consciously and consistently SET our affections on the things ABOVE and NOT on the things on the Earth. True! (Colossians 3:1-4, Matthew 6:9,10; 1 John 2:15-17).
And we proof our SEEKING of the things ABOVE and SETTING our affection on things ABOVE and not on the Earth by:
1. The way and manner you and I THINK upward (in terms of the Word of God) or downward (in terms of the word of the World) on Earth.
This will show to the people of the World, if we have resurrected or risen truly with Christ or still NOT resurrected or risen with Him from the grave (death) to Heaven (life). True! (Philippians 4:8,9).
2. The way and manner you and I SPEAK upward (in terms of the WAYS of GOD) or downward (in terms of the ways of the World) on Earth.
This will show to the people of the World, if we have resurrected or risen truly with Christ or still NOT resurrected or risen with Him from the grave (death) to Heaven (life). True! (Matthew 6:9,10; 1 John 2:15-17).
3. The way and manner you and I LIVE upward (in terms of the WILL of GOD) or downward (in terms of the will of the World) on Earth.
This will show to the people of the World, if we have resurrected or risen truly with Christ or still NOT resurrected or risen with Him from the grave (death) to Heaven (life). True! (Romans 2:1,2).
In the light of the above, we currently have two (2) categories of CHRISTIANS on the Earth:
1. Those who ARE indeed RISEN with Christ in their thinking, speaking and living in line with the Word, Ways and Will of God (respectively) for them in Christ in this World.
2. Those who ARE NOT indeed RISEN with Christ in their thinking, speaking and living in line with the Word, Ways and Will of God (respectively) for them in Christ in this World.
Therefore, until you consciously and consistently think, speak and live resurrected or risen with Christ, from the ways and manners of the World to the ways and manners of the WORD of God, WAYS of God and WILL of God in Christ for you in this World (by the help of the HOLY SPIRIT of the risen CHRIST that is within you), you have not truly RESURRECTED or RISEN with Christ from the grave (death) to Heaven (life) before the sight of God and even before the people of the World, to whom you are graciously saved by God in Christ to taste as His divine SALT and shine as His divine LIGHT to in the World. True! (Matthew 5:14-16; 1 Peter 2:9,10).
Christ is RISEN, then what about you in Him in this World?
Think about it and do something about it as well.
Remember, SIN kills and buries, RIGHTEOUSNESS awakes and resurrects. God bless you! (Romans 8:9-14; 1 John 5:16-21; Proverbs 14:34).
Today's Focus from Scripture:
If YOU then be RISEN with Christ, SEEK those things which are ABOVE, where Christ sits on the Right Hand of God. SET your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For YOU are dead, and YOUR life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is OUR life, shall appear, then shall YOU also appear with Him in glory. MORTIFY therefore your members which are UPON the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the WRATH of GOD comes on the children of disobedience: In the which you also walked some time, when you lived in them. But NOW you also PUT off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, SEEING that you have PUT OFF the old man with his deeds; And have PUT ON the new man, which is RENEWED in knowledge AFTER the image of Him that created Him.
For they that are AFTER the flesh DO mind the THINGS of the flesh; but they that are AFTER the Spirit the THINGS of the Spirit. For to be CARNALLY minded is DEATH; but to be SPIRITUALLY minded is LIFE and PEACE. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is NOT subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. SO then they that are in the flesh CANNOT please God. But YOU are NOT in the flesh, BUT in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell IN you. Now if any man have NOT the Spirit of Christ, he is NONE of His. And if Christ be in you, the BODY is dead BECAUSE of sin; but the SPIRIT is life BECAUSE of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell IN you, He that RAISED UP Christ from the dead shall also QUICKEN your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth IN you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13. For if YOU live after the flesh, YOU shall DIE: but if YOU through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, YOU shall LIVE. For as many as are LED by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (Colossians 3:1-10; Romans 8:5-14; Galatians 6:7-10; Romans 12:1,2; 2 Peter 1:2-10).
Take note, take heed!
