Today's Focus: Who is your SUFFICIENCY of?
It is unfortunate that many genuine Christian's:
1. SUFFICIENCY is still of themselves and not of GOD only.
2. SUFFICIENCY is still of their parents or spouses and not of GOD only.
3. SUFFICIENCY is still of their friends, associates or partners and not of GOD only.
4. SUFFICIENCY is still of their jobs or businesses and not of GOD only.
5. SUFFICIENCY is still of their positions or possessions and not of GOD only.
6. SUFFICIENCY is still of their places of work or worship and not of GOD only.
7. And so on. The Bible reveals that ALL things of the World will ONE appointed day of the Lord, pass away. True! (1 John 2:15-17).
Therefore, know and note that until your SUFFICIENCY is of GOD only, He will be patiently waiting for you to exhaust all your OTHER options before He will COME through for you to meet your needs or deal with your enemies. That is, when you have finally realised he is the ONE and ONLY safe, success-sure and sorrow-free option available to you in Christ in this World. He will never share is glory with any man or with anything. Never! (Psalm 24; Proverbs 10:26).
King David said I will LIFT UP my eyes unto the hill, from where comes my HELP. My help comes from the Lord, who made the Heaven and Earth. (Psalm 126:1,2).
Jesus Christ said I seek NOT for the HONOUR that comes from men, but that comes from God alone. (John 5:41-44).
The Bible reveals that Abraham against ALL hope was still FULLY persuaded that what God had promised Him, He was ABLE to also perform or bring to pass for Him. (Romans 4:21; 1 Thessalonians 5:24).
Apostle Paul boldly declared, I can do ALL things through Christ which strengthens me. And again he confidently counselled, my God shall supply ALL your NEED according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:13, 19).
Do you know that when truly your SUFFICIENCY is of GOD only like the above stated persons, you will not give up on Him, but:
1. You will STUDY the Word of God passionately and persistently more each day. True! (2 Timothy 2:15).
2. You will LIVE right in FAITH pleasing God passionately and persistently more each day. True! (Hebrews 11:6).
3. You will PRAY passionately and persistently more each day. True!
4. You will TRUST and DEPEND on God passionately and persistently more each day. True!
5. You will WALK (relate) and WORK (partner) with God passionately and persistently more each day. True!
It sad to say that many genuine followers of Christ today, knowingly or unknowingly are not patiently in FAITH depending on Him SOLELY for their needs and on Him to help them overcome their life challenges, even when He mercifully and graciously says come unto me ALL you who labour and are heavy laden, I will give you REST. So sad! (Matthew 11:28-30; Hebrews 6:12-20).
Who is your SUFFICIENCY of?
What is your SUFFICIENCY of?
Where is your SUFFICIENCY of?
It should be only of GOD. It should be only of God's PROMISES in Christ. It should be only on God's THRONE of GRACE in Christ. Because only GOD is SELF-SUFFICIENT and only Him is SUFFICIENT for any one who truly and humbly trust and depend on Him alone for EVERYTHING they spiritually and physically needs on Earth. (1 Peter 5:7-10; Hebrews 4:14-16).
Think about it and do something about it now.
Today's Focus from Scripture:
NOT that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but OUR sufficiency is of GOD. (2 Corinthians 3:5).
