Today's Focus: Having a LIVING FAITH and not a dead faith is the SECRET!
Lets begin by looking at how FAITH comes.
The Bible reveals to us that FAITH comes by HEARING and hearing by the WORD of God. Note, not just hearing anything, but hearing by the Word of God. (Romans 10:17).
Moses and Jesus Christ revealed that you and I are not designed and created by God to live in this World by bread (food) alone, but by every WORD that comes out of the mouth of God do man live. (Deuteronomy 8:3; Luke 4:4).
That means that you and I must be alert and alive at all times to HEAR what the SPIRIT of God is saying to us par time par our situation. That is why the Bible reveals that as many that are LED by the Spirit of God are the Sons (or daughters) of God True! (1 Corinthians 2:9-16; Romans 8:14; Galatians 5:18; 1 John 2:27).
So, do you HEAR the specific WORD of God concerning your situation on what to think on, speak out and live by or DO par time?
You have to do because HEARING the Spirit-inspired Word of God par time par your situation is the secret to LIVING by FAITH to please God and living victoriously and successfully in Christ in this World. For the Just or justified in Christ shall LIVE by FAITH. True! (Hebrews 11; Galatians 3:11).
However, many genuine Christians are ignorant of the fact that, it not enough to HEAR the Spirit-inspired Word of God or to have FAITH after hearing the Spirit-inspired Word of God, but is necessary also to think it, speak it and more importantly to humbly and obediently DO as instructed as well. (James 1:22-25).
In the light of the above, a believer's FAITH can either be:
1. Living FAITH:
When he or she believes and DOES the Spirit-inspired Word of God, he or she HEARS par time par his or her situation. Living FAITH always produce divine results, no matter what. (Hebrews 11).
2. Dead FAITH:
When he or she believes and does NOT DO the Spirit-inspired Word of God, he or she HEARS par time par his or her situation. Dead FAITH as the name goes always produce no result, no matter what. (Matthew 13:18-23).
Only those who are willing and OBEDIENT eats the good fruits of the Land says the Lord. The unwilling and REBELLIOUS, does not. True! (Isaiah 1:19,20).
Many Christians are not HEARING the real and specific WORD of God concerning their situation par time and the few that does, many are not DOING as instructed or commanded because most of the time because of:
1. The simplicity of the instruction.
2. The sacrificial act from norm involve in the instruction.
3. The separation from the crowd involved in the instruction. (2 Corinthians 6:14-18).
But, always remember, OBEDIENCE is far better than SACRIFICE (giving to the work of God, working in a church department, etc), whenever God is involved and when you sincerely want the BEST of from Him (God) in Christ for you in this World. True! (1 Samuel 15:22,23).
If you are privilege to HEAR His Voice, harden not your HEART. Simply OBEY and you will be BETTER for it now, soon or later. God bless you. (Hebrews 3:6-8).
Today's Focus from Scripture:
Even so FAITH, if it has not works, is dead, being alone. Yes, a man may say, you has faith, and I have works: show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. (James 2:17-26; 1 Corinthians 2:1-5).
