Today's Focus: Conforming to the LOVE-IMAGE of Christ for others in order to get Christ-kind of results!
Many genuine Christians are only familiar with John 3:16 but many are not with 1 John 3:16.
John 3:16 says that for God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
1 John 3:16 says that hereby perceive we the love of God, because He laid down His life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
The above scriptural references reveals that as Jesus Christ laid down His life for us, we too should do the same for our brethren in the Lord. This means, we are to live sacrificially assisting one another to run their Christian race in Christ in this World, even if it means putting our own life in line when doing so. This is what is really lacking in the Body of Christ today. This is what the enemy of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, is using to weaken us, His Church and bride, on every side in this World - selfishness and disunity. True and so sad!
Now, before JESUS CHRIST before the Author of our eternal salvation for us all, God, the Father, allowed Him to suffer, so that He will become obedient to Him by unconditional and sacrificial LOVE for others. (Hebrews 5:8-10).
Likewise, God, our Father, will permissively allows us to go and grow through suffering of various kinds as well to produce and mature in us, Christ-Kind of unconditional and sacrificial LOVE within us for others:
1. Unconditional and sacrificial LOVE that suffers long, no matter what.
2. Unconditional and sacrificial LOVE that is kind, no matter what.
3. Unconditional and sacrificial LOVE that envies not, no matter what.
4. Unconditional and sacrificial LOVE that vaunts not itself, no matter what.
5. Unconditional and sacrificial LOVE that is not puffed up, no matter what.
6. Unconditional and sacrificial LOVE that does not behave itself unseemly, no matter what.
7. Unconditional and sacrificial LOVE that seeks not her own, no matter what.
8. Unconditional and sacrificial LOVE that is not easily provoked, no matter what.
9. Unconditional and sacrificial LOVE that thinks no evil, no matter what.
10. Unconditional and sacrificial LOVE that rejoice not in iniquity, but rejoice in the truth, no matter what.
11. Unconditional and sacrificial LOVE that bears all things, no matter what.
12. Unconditional and sacrificial LOVE that believe all things, no matter what.
13. Unconditional and sacrificial LOVE that hopes all things, no matter what.
14. Unconditional and sacrificial LOVE that endures all things, no matter what. (1 Corinthians 13; Mark 12:28-31; 1 John 4).
We must allow God to mature us in the LOVE-IMAGE of Christ, so that we can Unconditionally and sacrificially LOVE like Christ and get Christ-kind of results in HELPING others like Christ did in this World. Jesus Christ said to us who believe, the works I did, you will do also and even greater works. But we cannot HELP those, we do not truly unconditionally and sacrificially LOVE. True! (1 John 4:17; John 14:12).
In other words, we cannot get the same RESULTS as Christ's got, when He was physical here on Earth, if we do not LOVE people or have COMPASSION on people as He did. True! (Matthew 9:35-38; Jude 1:22).
Are you in genuine (unconditional and sacrificial) LOVE with God, the Father?
Are you in genuine (unconditional and sacrificial) LOVE with God, the Son Jesus Christ?
Are you in genuine (unconditional and sacrificial) LOVE with God, the Holy Spirit?
if, yes, then you must be in genuine (unconditional and sacrificial) LOVE with people and for people, especially CHRISTIANS in this World. True! (Galatians 6:7-10; Mark 12:28-31; 1 John 4).
The Bible reveals that we cannot say we genuinely (unconditionally and sacrificially) LOVE God, who we cannot SEE, when will do not genuinely (unconditionally and sacrificially) LOVE others, who we can SEE. Never! (1 John 4: 17-21).
This means that God measure our unconditional and sacrificial LOVE for Him based on our unconditional and sacrificial LOVE for others. Hmm! (1 John 3:16).
Think about it and do something about it, if you have to.
Today's Focus from Scripture:
For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be CONFORMED to the IMAGE of His SON, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. (Romans 8:29,30; Hebrews 12:1-14; Romans 12:1,2; 1 Jo hn 4:17).
