Today's Focus: Until you SUBMIT yourself to GOD, you cannot RESIST the Devil!
Resisting the Devil is an unavoidable and necessary task every genuine Child of God in Christ must engage in daily in this World. True!
The Bible counsels us thus:
HUMBLE yourselves therefore UNDER the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your ADVERSARY the DEVIL, as a roaring lion, walks about, SEEKING whom he may DEVOUR: Whom RESIST stedfast in the FAITH, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the World. But the God of all grace, who has called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that you have SUFFERED a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, SETTLE you. (1 Peter 5:6-10).
Satan seeks daily who he may DECEIVE and DEVOUR (kill, steal from and destroy). True, but let it not be you! (John 10:10).
Therefore, as a genuine Child of God in Christ in this World, you must learn how to:
1. Sensitively identify and forcefully RESIST Devil's ADVANCEMENT toward you in any form. True!
2. Sensitively identify and forcefully RESIST Devil's ENTICEMENT toward you in any form. True!
3. Sensitively identify and forcefully RESIST Devil's AGGRESSION toward him or her in any form. True!
4. Sensitively identify and forcefully RESIST Devil's DECEPTION toward him or her in any form. True!
5. Sensitively identify and forcefully RESIST Devil's MANIPULATION toward him or her in any form. True!
6. Sensitively identify and forcefully RESIST Devil's SEDUCTION toward him or her in any form. True!
7. Sensitively identify and forcefully RESIST Devil's APPEAL toward him or her in any form. True!
Your LUST areas are Satan's attracting spots toward you. Therefore, deal with your LUST areas by humbly SUBMITTING them to God's Word, Ways and Will for you in Christ and RESIST the Satan and he will flee from you and he will never be able to deceive, defeat and DEVOUR (kill, steal or destroy) you in Christ in this World. True!
The Bible reveals to us thus:
Blessed is the man that ENDURES temptation: for when he is TRIED, he shall RECEIVE the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them that love Him. Let NO man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God CANNOT be tempted with evil, neither tempts he any man: But every man is TEMPTED, when he is DRAWN away of his own LUST, and ENTICED. Then when lust has CONCEIVED, it brings forth SIN: and sin, when it is FINISHED, bringeth forth DEATH. (James 1:12-15).
Now, know and note that to RESIST the Devil requires first your SUBMISSION to God by submitting our LUST for His LOVE. Without which, the Devil will not leave or flee from you. True!
Thefore, Bible counsels us thus:
Love NOT the World, neither the things that are IN the World. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is NOT in him. For ALL that is in the World, the LUST of the FLESH, and the LUST of the EYES, and the PRIDE of LIFE, is not of the Father, but is of the World. And the World passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that does the WILL of GOD abides for ever. (1 John 2:15-17; James 4:1-5; 1 Timothy 6:6-12).
Do not be driven or influence by the LUST of the FLESH (Food, sex, sleep, etc.). Don't, because in it is Satan's enticement, enslavement and finally, eternal condemnation in HELL. True!
Do not be driven or influence by the LUST of the EYES (Money, material things, beauty, etc.). Don't, because in it is Satan's enticement, enslavement and finally, eternal condemnation in HELL. True!
Do not be driven or influence by the PRIDE of LIFE (Postion, power, popularity, etc.). Don't, because in it is Satan's enticement, enslavement and finally, eternal condemnation in HELL. True!
Furthermore, the Bible reveals to thus:
But He gives MORE grace. Wherefore He said, God RESISTS the proud, but GIVES grace unto the humble. SUBMIT yourselves therefore to God. RESIS the devil, and he will FLEE from you. DRAW near to God, and He will DRAW nigh to you. CLEANSE your hands, you sinners; and PURIFY your hearts, you double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. HUMBLE yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall LIFT you up. (James 4:6-10).
Now, know and note that Satan's attack on you begins from your MIND. Therefore, your obedience must be complete by CASTING down ALL his negative imaginations and ALL his exalted thoughts suggested to you against the knowledge of God, by BRING them into captivity to the obedience of Christ, to able to RESIST him. True!
The Bible reveals to us thus:
For though we walk in the flesh, we do NOT war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;), CASTING down imaginations, and every high thing that EXALTS itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. (2 Corinthians 10:3-6; Colossians 3:16,17).
That is why Apostle Paul counselled us thus:
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are TRUE, whatsoever things are HONEST, whatsoever things are JUST, whatsoever things are PURE, whatsoever things are LOVELY, whatsoever things are of GOOD REPORT; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, THINK on these things. Those things, which you have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of PEACE shall be with you. (Philippians 4:8,9).
Also, that is why he counselled us thus:
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you PRESENT your bodies a living sacrifice, HOLY, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be NOT conformed to this World: but be you transformed by the RENEWING of your MIND, that you may PROVE what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, WILL of God. (Romans 12:1,2).
Finally, know and note that the Devil is serious and forceful in achieving his wicked agenda against you beginning from your MIND. Therefore, you have to as well, even be more serious and forceful, to resist and overcome him. True!
The Bible counsels us thus:
And from the days of John the Baptist until now the KINGDOM of HEAVEN (the presence and power of the Holy Spirit - anointing) suffers VIOLENCE (by Satan, his demons and demon-driven human agents), and the VIOLENT (anointed) take it by force. Halleluyah! (Matthew 11:12).
Once more, check and correct your LUST and PRIDE by submitting them to the Word of God, Ways of God and Will of God in Christ for you daily and Satan will have NOTHING and NO place in your life in Christ in this World. True!
Jesus Christ said thus:
Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this World (Satan) comes, and has NOTHING in me. (John 14:30).
That should be our testimony as genuine Children of God in Christ in this World. Because as HE is, so WE are in this World. True! (1 John 4:17).
Remember, the Bible reveals to us that we receive NOT when we ask, if God sees that the reason of our asking is to consume it upon our LUST. Therefore, it time to deal with LUST. It is time to submit them to the Lord. True! (James 1:1-5).
Think about it and do something about your LUST and PRIDE now, humbly SUBMIT them to God in Christ now, then RESIST the Devil and he will FLEE from you and you will HAVE whatsoever you desire from God in Christ in this World. True! (Mark 11:34).
