Today's Focus: Why are you a genuine CHILD of GOD in Christ in this World afraid of DEATH?
Many genuine Christians are not aware that they are SPIRIT beings with a SOUL living in a BODY in this World. True!
Many genuine Christians do not know that their human SPIRIT came from God, their heavenly Father in Christ and on one APPOINTED moment, they will be requested to RETURN back home to Him again. True! (Hebrews 9:27).
Therefore,
Many genuine Christians are consciously and unconsciously AFRAID of DEATH, DYING untimely or going BACK home to their heavenly Father through DEATH. True!
The Bible reveals to us thus:
You SEND forth your spirit, they are CREATED: and you RENEW the face of the earth. (Psalm 104:30).
So, our human spirit is surely going to RETURN home on an APPOINTED moment someday. True!
Therefore, the Bible says to us thus:
And as it is APPOINTED unto men once to DIE, but after this the JUDGMENT. (Hebrews 9:27; Ecclesiastes 12:1-7; Romans 14:1-12)
JESUS CHRIST, our ultimate role model when on Earth physically:
1. He was never AFRAID of DEATH.
2. He was never AFRAID of DYING untimely.
3. He was never AFRAID of going BACK home to His heavenly Father through DEATH. True!
You too should NOT for any reason or in any season of your life be AFRAID, for the Bible says as HE is, so are WE in this World. (Ecclesiastes 3:1-11; 1 John 4:17).
The Bible reveals to us thus:
From that time forth began Jesus to SHOW unto His disciples, HOW that He must go unto Jerusalem, and SUFFER many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be KILLED, and be RAISED again the third day. Then Peter took Him, and began to REBUKE Him, saying, be it far from you, Lord: this shall not be unto you. But He turned, and SAID unto Peter, get thee behind me, Satan: you art an OFFENCE unto me: for you savours not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. (Matthew 16:21-23).
Do you think it is because Jesus Christ is God ?
Apostle Paul:
1. He was never AFRAID of DEATH. True!
2. He was never AFRAID of DYING untimely. True!
3. He was never AFRAID of going BACK home to his heavenly Father through DEATH. True!
The Bible reveals to us thus:
For I (Apostle Paul) KNOW that this shall TURN to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all BOLDNESS, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by LIFE, or by DEATH. For to me, to LIVE is Christ, and to DIE is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait between two, having a DESIRE to DEPART, and TO be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to ABIDE in the flesh is more needful for you. And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again. (Philippians 1:9-25).
Instead of being AFRAID of DEATH, dying untimely or going BACK to his heavenly Father, Apostle Paul focused on FULFILLING his HIGH CALLING (life purpose, assignment, ministry, etc) of GOD in Christ Jesus in this World than thinking of DYING before his time.
The Bible reveals to us thus:
Brethren, I (Apostle Paul) count NOT myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, FORGETTING those things which are behind, and REACHING forth unto those things which are before, I PRESS toward the mark for the prize of the HIGH CALLING of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13,14).
Did he FINISH it and reach his mark? Yes!
Did he DIE before his time? No
The Bible reveals to us thus:
But WATCH you in all things, ENDURE afflictions, DO the work of an evangelist, MAKE full proof of thy ministry. For I (Apostle Paul) am now READY to be offered, and the TIME of my departure is at hand. I have FOUGHT a good fight, I have FINISHED my course, I have KEPT the faith: Henceforth there is LAID up for me a CROWN of Righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall GIVE me at that day: and NOT to me only, but unto ALL them also that love his appearing. (2 Timothy 4:5-8).
Then, why are you a genuine Child of God in Christ in this World still AFRAID of DEATH, DYING untimely or of going BACK home to your heavenly Father through DEATH?
It is nothing other than because:
1. You have not discovered your HIGH CALLING (life purpose, assignment, ministry, etc) of GOD in Christ Jesus for you in this World. True!
If you have discovered yours and you are still AFRAID of death or dying before your time, then
2. You are not FOCUSED on FULFILLING your HIGH CALLING (life purpose, assignment, ministry, etc) of GOD in Christ Jesus for you in this World. True!
If you focus on fulfilling it and you are still AFRAID of death or dying before your time, then
3. You do not BELIEVE that Jesus Christ through His DEATH on the Cross of Calvary had destroyed the Devil's POWER of DEATH over you before your appointed time of exiting the Earth. True!
The Bible reveals to us thus:
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same; that THROUGH death He might DESTROY him that had the POWER of DEATH, that is, the devil; And DELIVER them who through FEAR of DEATH were all their lifetime SUBJECT to bondage. (Hebrews 2:14,15).
If you believe that Jesus Christ through His death has destroyed the Devil's power of death over you before your time of exit and you are still AFRAID of death or dying before your time, then
4. You do not BELIEVE that Jesus Christ through His RESURRECTION from the grave back to His Father in Heaven has given you the VICTORY over DEATH or DYING before your appointed time of exiting the Earth. True!
The Bible reveals to us thus:
O DEATH, where is your sting? O GRAVE, where is your victory? The STING of death is SIN; and the STRENGTH of sin is the LAW. But thanks be to God, which GIVES us the VICTORY through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:55-57; 1 John 5:4-5; 16-21).
If you believe that Jesus Christ through His resurrection has given victory over death and you are still AFRAID of death or dying before your time, then
5. You do not BELIEVE that Jesus Christ as the RESURRECTION and LIFE has given you ABUNDANT LIFE that sudden death cannot cut you short before your appointed time on Earth. True!
The Bible reveals to you thus:
Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met Him: but Mary sat still in the house. Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if you had been here, my brother had not died. But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou will ask of God, God will give it you. Jesus said unto her, your brother shall RISE again. Martha sad unto Him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. Jesus said unto her, I AM the RESURRECTION, and the LIFE: he that BELIEVES in me, though he were DEAD, yet shall he LIVE: And whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Believe you this? (John 11:20-26).
Furthermore, the Bible reveals that one of Jesus' mission on Earth is thus:
The THIEF (Devil) comes not, but for to steal, and to KILL, and to destroy: I am COME that they might have LIFE, and that they might have it more ABUNDANTLY. (John 10:10).
Jesus Christ have assured us of divine SAFETY and PROTECTION on Earth, so you and I do not need to FEAR of death before our time, but to FOCUS on pleasing our heavenly Father by FOCUSING on FULFILLING our HIGH CALLING (life purpose, assignment, ministry, etc) in Christ Jesus on Earth. True!
The Bible reveals to us thus:
And I say unto you my friends, Be NOT afraid of them that KILL the BODY, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom you shall fear: Fear Him, which after He has KILLED had POWER to cast into HELL; yes, I say unto you, Fear Him. Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and NOT one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very HAIRS of your head are ALL numbered. FEAR not therefore: you are of MORE value than many sparrows. Also I say unto you, whosoever shall CONFESS me before men, Him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: But he that DENIES me before men shall be denied before the angels of God. (Luke 12:4-9).
Jesus Christ has given us POWER over the demons that causes SINS and untimely DEATH in humans. True!
The Bible reveals to us thus:
And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through your NAME. And He said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I GIVE unto you POWER to tread on SERPENTS (demons of SINS) and SCORPIONS (demons of DEATH), and over ALL the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather REJOICE, because YOUR names are written IN Heaven. (Luke 10:17-20; Luke 11:9-14; 1 John 3:8-10; Romans 8; Philippians 2:8-11; 1 John 5:16-21).
Now, know and note thus:
There is therefore now NO condemnation to them which are IN Christ Jesus, who walk NOT after the FLESH, but after the SPIRIT. For the LAW of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me FREE from the LAW of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, CONDEMNED sin in the flesh: That the RIGHTEOUSNESS of the law might be FULFILLED in us, who walk NOT after the flesh, BUT after the Spirit. (Romans 8:1-4; Galatians 5:16-26; John 8:36).
Jesus Christ promised us a PREPARED PLACE for us in His Father's house. That is, if we eventually DIE or are RAPTURED and exit the Earth at our appointed moment. True!
So why you still AFRAID of DEATH, dying untimely or going BACK to your heavenly Father?
The Bible reveals to us thus:
Let NOT your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in me. In my FATHER'S HOUSE are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I GO to prepare a place for you. And if I go and PREPARE a place for you, I will COME again, and RECEIVE you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And whither I go you know, and the way you know. Thomas said unto him, Lord, we know not whither you goes; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the LIFE: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:1-6).
In the first place, why are you who is a genuine Child of God in Christ in this World AFRAID of going BACK home to your heavenly FATHER through DEATH?
Why?
The Bible reveals to us thus:
Precious in the sight of the LORD is the DEATH of His saints. (Psalm 116:15).
Making Heaven back REJOICE our heavenly Father, who is glad to see and have us back home in Christ from Earth. So, STOP being afraid of DEATH, because nothing and nobody cannot KILL you before your APPOINTED time of exit from the Earth. I repeat, NOTHING and NOBODY can!
Always remember, you are more than CONQUEROR through Christ's love for you, even over untimely DEATH. True! (Romans 8:37).
