Now, let it be clearly known to you today that God is never against your physical PROSPERITY (Blessings, Wealth or Riches) in Christ in this World. True! Take note, take heed!
The Bible reveals this truth to us thus:
Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yes, let them say continually, let the LORD be magnified, which has PLEASURE in the PROSPERITY of his servant. (Psalm 35:27).
Therefore, it is not wrong or carnal to ask God for physical PROSPERITY (Blessings, Wealth or Riches) in Christ in this World. True! Take note, take heed!
That is why King David boldly requested from God thus:
Save now, I beseech you, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, SEND now PROSPERITY. (Psalm 118:2)
JESUS CHRIST obtained physical PROSPERITY (Blessings, Wealth or Riches) as part of all He obtained for us by His suffering in this World, death on the Cross of Calvary and resurrection to sit on the right hand of the Throne of God His Father on our behalf. True! Take note, take heed!
The Bible reveals this truth to us thus:
And they sung a new song, saying, you art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for you were slain, and had REDEEMED US to God by your blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And had MADE US unto our God KINGS and PRIESTS: and WE shall REIGN on the Earth...Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive POWER, and RICHES, and WISDOM, and STRENGTH, and HONOUR, and GLORY, and BLESSING. (Revelation 5:9,10,12; 1 Peter 2:9,10; Ephesians 1:3-7).
It is good for you to know and note at this point that physical PROSPERITY (Blessings, Wealth or Riches) are first spiritual PROSPERITY (Blessings, Wealth or Riches) in terms of ideas to establish, visions to pursue, purpose to fulfill, cause to accomplish, transfer possessions to possess, etc that needs to be accessed scripturally, spiritually (prayerfullly in holiness and faith) and sacrificially through selfless services, kind gestures and goods and service delivery to convert them to physical realities and gains in this World. True! Take note, take heed! (2 Kings 4:1-7).
That is why the Bible reveals to us thus:
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who had BLESSED US with all spiritual BLESSINGS in heavenly places in CHRIST: According as He had CHOSEN US in Him before the foundation of the World, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: Having PREDESTINATED US unto the adoption of Children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His Will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He had MADE US accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace. (Ephesians 1:3-7; Romans 8:26-30).
Therefore, the Bible says to us thus:
But as it is written, EYE has not SEEN, nor EAR HEARD, neither have entered into the HEART of MAN, the things which God had PREPARED for THEM that LOVE Him. But God had revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the SPIRIT searches ALL things, yes, the DEEP things of God. For what man knows the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God knows NO man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, NOT the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that WE might KNOW the things that are freely GIVEN to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost teaches; COMPARING spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth NOT the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually DISCERNED. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who had known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? But we have the MIND of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:9-16; Romans 8:26-28; 1 John 2:27).
Also, the Bible reveals to us thus:
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was RICH, yet for your SAKES He became POOR, that you through His POVERTY might be RICH. (2 Corinthians 8:9).
JESUS CHRIST Himself when on Earth, did not lack anything, anywhere, anytime because He was RICH INSIDE and with His inner RICHES He got whatsoever or anything He wanted par time par His situation. True! Now, if He (Jesus Christ) who was RICH became POOR for your sake, so that through His POVERTY you may be RICH, then you have no business with any form of poverty or need to lack anything you basically need in this World, be it spiritual, mental, moral, emotional, financial, material, etc need. That is the truth. However, good to know and note is that God blesses each of us according to how He has CHOSEN US in Christ as revealed in Ephesians 1:3-7. We all are not designed by God to be PROSPEROUS at the same measure. Some will be richer than some based on God's ordained purpose for each of us in Christ in this World. True! Take note, take heed! (Matthew 14:14-21; Matthew 17:24-27; Matthew 21:1-7; Matthew 26:17-20).
Furthermore, the Bible reveals to us thus:
If you then be RISEN with CHRIST, SEEK those things which are ABOVE, where Christ sit on the right hand of God. SET your affection on things above, NOT on things on the Earth. For you are dead, and your LIFE is HID with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall you also appear with Him in glory. (Colossians 3:1-4).
That is why Jesus Christ taught to PRAY and SEEK thus:
After this manner therefore PRAY you: Our Father which art in Heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Your WILL be done in EARTH, as it is in HEAVEN. Therefore take NO thought, saying, what shall we EAT? or, what shall we DRINK? Or, wherewithal shall we be CLOTHED? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father KNOWS that you have need of all these things. But SEEK you FIRST the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. (Matthew 6:9,10,31-34; 1 Peter 5:6-10).
If you seek first the KINGDOM of GOD (the presence and power of the Holy Spirit of Christ) to be birthed within you par time par your situation, His PROVISIONS (in terms of ideas, direction, strength, etc) will be birthed as well in and through you to meet your need or how you need to go about meeting your need such par time and situation as it was for Jesus Christ. True! Take note, take heed! (Luke 11:5-13; Philippians 1:19; Hebrews 4:16).
Now, it is unfortunate that many genuine Christians are deceived to believe that physical PROSPERITY (Blessings, Wealth or Riches) is not part of what JESUS CHRIST had obtained by His suffering, death and resurrection for us God's Children in this World. So sad, so bad!
The question I ask such people is that will it NOT be unrighteous and irresponsible for God to SEND you to accomplish a task for Him without Him giving you the physical RESOURCES to accomplish it in this physical World that needs physical PROSPERITY (Blessings, Wealth or Riches) to get physical TASKS done. I do not think so! I do not believe so! My God is far righteous and responsible than any man. True!
Now, does your common sense agree with the above LIE of the Devil to many genuine Christians? Even the people of the World do not do send you on a task without PROVISIONS to accomplish it. Are we saying the people of the World are wiser, righteous and responsible than our God, who designed, created and owns the Heaven and the Earth and everything that are in them including we humans? God forbid, I cannot agree with such theology. My God blesses with both spiritual and physical BLESSING, WEALTH or RICHES as revealed through the Bible. Yes, He does!
The Bible makes us to understand thus:
A feast is made for laughter, and wine makes merry: but MONEY answers ALL things. (Ecclesiastes 10:19).
In fact, the Bible reveals to us thus:
Cry yet, saying, thus said the LORD of hosts; My cities through PROSPERITY shall yet be SPREAD abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem. (Zechariah 1:17).
Don't be deceived, God knows that MONEY answers ALL physical THINGS in this World and that it is through physical PROSPERITY (Blessings, Wealth or Riches) His Work can be spread and accomplished in Christ throughout this World. Therefore, He (God) delights in your physical PROSPERITY (Blessings, Wealth or Riches) and want to give you physical PROSPERITY (Blessings, Wealth or Riches) in Christ in this World. True! Believe it! Take note, take heed!
Now, this is very important for you to know and note that:
1. God's challenge is not that of GIVING you His physical PROSPERITY (Blessings, Wealth or Riches) that were obtained by Jesus Christ for you through His suffering, death and resurrection in this World on your behalf, but HOW you WILL NOT allow IT to TAKE OVER His precious and priceless place in your HEART in Christ in this World. True! Take note, take heed!
Therefore, the Bible reveals to us thus:
In the day of PROSPERITY be joyful, but in the day of ADVERSITY consider: God also had set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after Him. (Ecclesiastes 7: 14).
Therefore, King David made a commitment to himself thus:
And in my PROSPERITY I said, I shall never be moved. (Psalm 30:6).
God wants you to be spiritually MATURE in Christ to an extent of making a deep commitment to yourself and Him not to allow His physical PROSPERITY (Blessings, Wealth or Riches) TAKE OVER His precious and priceless place in your HEART in Christ in this World. If you do, He will certainly entrust you with physical PROSPERITY (Blessings, Wealth or Riches) par time par your situation. True! Take note, take heed! (Pls, read Deuteronomy 8).
JESUS CHRIST acknowledged how physical PROSPERITY (Blessings, Wealth or Riches) meant for us to use in this World for God's glory can TAKE OVER the place of God's Word in our HEARTS thus:
He also that received seed among the thorns is he that hears the WORD; and the CARE of this WORLD, and the DECEITFULNESS of RICHES, choke the WORD, and he becomes unfruitful. (Matthew 13:22).
Therefore, He (Jesus Christ) said to us thus:
LAY NOT UP for yourselves TREASURES upon EARTH, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But LAY UP for yourselves TREASURES in HEAVEN, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where YOUR TREASURE is, there will YOUR HEART be also. No man can SERVE two masters: for either he will HATE the one, and LOVE the other; or else he will HOLD TO the one, and DESPISE the other. You CANNOT serve God and mammon.(Matthew 6:19-21,24-34; Matthew 25:31-46; Luke 18:18-31).
That is why Apostle Paul warned us thus:
And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that you might LEARN in us NOT to THINK of men ABOVE that which is written, that NO one of you be PUFFED UP for one against another. For who makes you to DIFFER from another? And WHAT had you that you did NOT receive? Now if you did RECEIVE IT, why does you glory (boast), as if you had NOT received it? Now you are FULL, now you are RICH, you have REIGNED as KINGS without us: and I would to God you did reign, that we also might reign with you. I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I WARN you. Now some are PUFFED UP, as though I would not come to you. What will you? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness? (1 Corinthians 4:6-8,14,21).
From the above scriptural reference you can clearly see that Apostle Paul acknowledged that the physical PROSPERITY (Blessings, Wealth or Riches) they have was given to them by God, but only warned them for allowing it to make them PRIDEFUL against one another and as such against God. God wants to give you physical PROSPERITY (Blessings, Wealth or Riches) par time par your situation, but is your HEART right for it? This is the big question in His Mind. True! Take note, take heed!
That was why Moses warned thus:
And you say in your HEART, my power and the might of my hand had gotten me this WEALTH. But you shall remember the LORD your God: for it is He that GIVES you POWER to get WEALTH, that He may establish His COVENANT which He sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. And it shall be, if you do at all FORGET the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that you shall surely PERISH. (Deuteronomy 8:17-19; Genesis 22:1-18; Galatians 3:13,14).
Take note, take heed!
2. God's challenge is not that of GIVING you His physical PROSPERITY (Blessings, Wealth or Riches) that were obtained by Jesus Christ for you through His suffering, death and resurrection in this World on your behalf, but HOW you will GO about ACCESSING, RECEIVING or GETTING IT in Christ in this World. True! Take note, take heed!
This is because:
(1) There is a GOD'S WORD, WAY or WILL of accessing, receiving or getting His physical PROSPERITY (Blessings, Wealth or Riches) in Christ par His time and season in this World. True! Take note, take heed! (Ecclesiastes 3:1-11).
(2) There is a SATAN'S or MAN'S WORD, WAY or WILL of accessing, receiving or getting Satan's or man's physical PROSPERITY (Blessings, Wealth or Riches) as well in this World. True! Take note, take heed! (Proverbs 16:25).
That is why the Bible counsels us thus:
There is a WAY that SEEMS RIGHT unto a man, but the END thereof are the WAYS of DEATH. (Proverbs 16:25).
Also, the Bible reveals to us thus:
The BLESSING of the LORD, it makes RICH, and He adds NO sorrow with it. (Proverbs 10:22).
That is why the Bible timely counsels us thus:
Fret NOT yourself because the WORKERS of INIQUITY. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. TRUST in the LORD, and DO GOOD; so shall you DWELL in the land, and verily you shall be FED. DELIGHT yourself also in the LORD; and He shall GIVE you the DESIRES of your HEART. COMMIT your way unto the LORD; TRUST also in Him; and He shall BRING it to PASS. And He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. REST in the LORD, and WAIT patiently for Him: fret NOT yourself because of Him who PROSPERS IN HIS WAY, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass. (Psalm 37:1-7; Psalm 1:1-3; James 4:17; Mark 11:23,24; Proverbs 3:3-5; Hebrews 6:12; Ecclesiastes 7:27-29).
Also, Apostle Paul counselled us thus:
But GODLINESS with CONTENTMENT is great GAIN. For we BROUGHT NOTHING into this World, and it is certain we can CARRY NOTHING out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. But they that will be RICH fall into TEMPTATION and a SNARE, and into MANY FOOLISH and HURTFUL LUSTS, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the LOVE of MONEY is the ROOT of ALL EVIL: which while some COVETED after, they have ERRED from the FAITH, and PIERCED themselves through with MANY SORROWS. But you, O man of God, FLEE these things; and FOLLOW after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. FIGHT the good fight of faith, LAY HOLD on eternal life, whereunto you art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. (1 Timothy 6:6-12; Philippians 4:5; 1 John 2:15-17; Matthew 6:24-34).
In the light of the above and without doubt and debate, God wants you to have physical PROSPERITY (Blessings, Wealth or Riches) in Christ in this World, but it must by His WORD, WAY and WILL in Christ for you par His time and season in this World. True! Take note, take heed!
That was why He instructed Joshua thus:
This book of the law shall NOT depart out of your MOUTH; but you shall MEDITATE therein day and night, that you may OBSERVE to DO according to all that is written therein: for THEN you shall MAKE your way PROSPEROUS, and THEN you shall have GOOD SUCCESS. (Joshua 1:8; Matthew 6:9,10; Romans 12:1,2; 1 John 5:14,15).
That was why Apostle John desired thus:
Beloved, I wish above all things that you may PROSPER and be in HEALTH, even as your soul PROSPERS. (3 John 1:2).
That was why Brother James counsels us thus:
But be you DOERS of the WORD, and NOT hearers only, DECEIVING your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the Word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholds himself, and goes his way, and straightway forgets what manner of man he was. But whoso LOOKS into the perfect law of liberty, and CONTINUES therein, he being NOT a forgetful hearer, but a DOER of the work, this man shall be BLESSED in his deed. (James 1:22-25; Colossians 3:22-25; Colossians 4:1).
Now, like the warning message to the Church (Christians) of the Laodiceans, God is NOT against giving you or you having physical PROSPERITY (Blessings, Wealth or Riches), but against you making it an IDOL in your HEART or making it a PRIORITY over Him in your life in Christ in this World. True! Take note, take heed!
And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things said the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know your works, that you art neither COLD nor HOT: I would you wert cold or hot. So then because you art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue you out of my mouth. Because thou said, I am RICH, and increased with goods, and have NEED of NOTHING; and knows NOT that you art WRETCHED, and MISERABLE, and POOR, and BLIND, and NAKED: I counsel you to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that you mayest be RICH; and white raiment, that you mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do NOT appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that you may see. As many as I LOVE, I REBUKE and CHASTEN: be ZEALOUS therefore, and REPENT. Behold, I stand at the door, and KNOCK: if any man hear my VOICE, and open the door, I will COME in to him, and will SUP with him, and he with me. To him that OVERCOMES will I grant to SIT with me in my THRONE, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in His Throne. He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit said unto the Churches. (Revelation 3:14-21; Hebrews 12:1-14; John 10:1-10; 1 John 5:4,5).
God does not want you be physically RICH and spiritually POOR at the same time. So, if you can disciplines yourself to be always spiritually RICH by learning to stay FAITHFUL to the Word, Way and Will of God in Christ for you par time par your situation, God will give you physical PROSPERITY (Blessings, Wealth or Riches) par time par your situation in this World. True! You will certainly lack nothing that you need to fulfill your DIVINE DESTINY in this World like Jesus Christ did not lack anything to fulfill His. This is because as He (Jesus Christ) is, so are you in this World. True! Take note, take heed! (1 John 4:17; Hebrews 12:1-14; James 1:2-8).
Always remember that God delights and desires to give you physical PROSPERITY (Blessings, Wealth or Riches) in this World in terms of ideas to establish, visions to pursue, purpose to fulfill, cause to accomplish, transfer possessions to possess, etc that needs to be access scripturally, spiritually (prayerfullly in holiness and faith) and sacrificially through selfless services, kind gestures and goods and service delivery to convert them to physical realities and gains in this World. True! Take note, take heed! (2 Kings 4:1-7; Psalm 37:25; Matthew 6:24-34; Psalm 112).
