Many people that called themselves Christians finds it difficult to confidently and patiently WAIT on God to fulfil His promises in Christ in their lives in this World.
But, I am sent today to inform you that true Christians are those that have learnt to confidently and patiently WAIT on God for everything He has promised them in Christ.
Another word for WAIT is PATIENCE.
The Bible counsels us thus:
That you be not slothful, but FOLLOWERS of them who through FAITH and PATIENCE inherit the promises. For when God made promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no greater, He sworn by Himself, Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so, after He had PATIENTLY endured, he obtained the promise. For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. Wherein God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us. (Hebrews 6:12-18).
Do you get it?
A true Christian is someone who have consciously grow his or her confidence in God to an extent of being able to confidently and patiently WAIT on Him for every promises He has promised in Christ to them in this World. True!
The God of Heaven does not operate based on man's timing, but on His own TIME and SEASON.

The God of Heaven does not operate base on your daily and weekly calendar, but on His own TIME and SEASON.
The God of Heaven does not operate base on your monthly and yearly calendar, but on His own TIME and SEASON.
The Bible reveals thus:
To every thing there is a SEASON, and a TIME to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. What profit hath he that works in that wherein he labours? I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it. He hath made EVERY thing beautiful in HIS TIME: also He hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God makes from the beginning to the end. (Ecclesiastes 4:1-11).
God makes His promises come to pass in His own TIME and SEASON and not in yours or mine. He makes ALL things beautifully to happen in His TIME and SEASON and not in yours or mine. True!
Therefore, a true Christian is the one who understands that his or her TIMING does not really matter, but God's only. Therefore,
1. He or she has learnt to submit to His (God's) own TIMING and SEASON for their life and living in Christ in this World.
2. HE or she has learnt to follow His (God's) own TIMING and SEASON for their life and living in Christ in this World.
3. HE or she has learnt to walk, run and fly by His (God's) own TIMING and SEASON for their life and living in Christ in this World.
4. HE or she has learnt to work in Christ by His (God's) own TIMING and SEASON for their life and living in Christ in this World.
The Bible counsels you and I thus:
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us RUN with PATIENCE the RACE that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. (Hebrews 12:1-3).
Do you get it?
Jesus Christ instructed His disciples thus:
And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but WAIT for the PROMISE of the Father, which, saith He, you have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. (Acts 1:4-8).
Did they obey Him? Yes, they did! The Bible reveals thus:
Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey. And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren. (Acts 1:12-14).
This is lacking today. Individually and collectively WAITING on God enough for the promises in Christ to manifest in our individual or collective life as Church of Christ in this World. The virtue of PATIENCE is lacking today in the Body of Christ. So sad!
Consciously and confidently WAITING on God for a true Christian is not negotiable. It is a must!
This is because, he or she knows that God will not adjust Himself, His plan and purposes' TIMING and SEASON to the slowness, trend or fastness of the World. Never! Neither does He expect you and I to adjust ourselves to the slowness, trend or fastness of the World. Rather, He expects you and I to follow His TIMING and LEADING of His Spirit who is within us, to know what to do par time par situation on our journey in Christ from Earth to Heaven.
This is why the Bible says thus:
For as many as are LED by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (Romans 8:14).
You cannot live on your own TIMING and LEADING in this World and still say you are a true son or daughter of God in Christ. Not true, you are not!
You cannot live on your own TIMING and LEADING in this World and still say you are a true Christian. Not true, you are not!
Therefore, know and note this; to receive any of God's promises, you must WAIT for His own TIMING and SEASON for you to receive such promises.
The Bible reveals thus:
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that WAIT upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:28-31).
Do you get it?
One of the attributes of a true Christian is that he or she is in tune enough with the Spirit of God within him or her to know par time his or her divine SEASON and what to DO. (1 Corinthians 2:9-16).
Now, the truth be told,your IMPATIENCE or HASTINESS is a proof of your lack of confidence or faith in God's faithfulness and ability to bring to pass His promises in Christ in your life in this World. True!
The Bible reveals thus:
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that BELIEVES shall not make HASTE. (Isaiah 28:16).
If you truly BELIEVE, you wouldn't be HASTY like the people of the World after you have prayed about a need or situation. True!
If you are a true Christian, you wouldn't be IMPATIENT like the people of the World after you have prayed about a need or situation!
Think about it!
Always keep in mind that FAITHFUL is He (God) that called you, who also will DO it. (1 Thessalonians 5:24; Romans 4:16-25).
