There is no doubt that each of us consciously or unconsciously give GIFTS to people based on the love, value and respect we knowingly or unknowingly placed on them before giving them the gifts. True!
This is not different from God. God through prophet Isaiah announced the birth of JESUS many years before JESUS CHRIST was physically born into the Earth thus:
For unto us a CHILD is BORN, unto us a SON is GIVEN: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. (Isaiah 9:6,7).
When the time was fully come and fulfilled, the Bible reveals thus:
For GOD so LOVED the WORLD, that He GAVE His ONLY begotten SON, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believes on Him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has NOT believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that does evil hates the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that does truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. (John 3:16-21).
God, because of His unconditional LOVE for humanity gave His only begotten Son, JESUS CHRIST. His most priceless and precious possession and GIFT to redeem humanity back to Himself. How good is our God!
God, because of His uncompromising VALUE for human souls gave His only begotten Son, JESUS CHRIST. His most priceless and precious possession and GIFT to reconcile humanity back to Himself. How merciful is our God!
God, because of His uncommon RESPECT for human lives gave His only begotten Son, JESUS CHRIST. His most priceless and precious possession and GIFT to restore humanity back to Himself. How gracious is our God!
Therefore, no other GIFT you and I will give to others this CHRISTMAS (Christ's birthday celebration) season, especially to unbelievers or sinners that is better than the gift of the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour JESUS CHRIST.
True, if truly, you and I LOVE them as we claim and as God LOVES them.
True, if truly, you and I VALUE them as we claim and as God VALUES their souls.
True, if truly, you and I RESPECT them as we claim and as God RESPECTS their lives.
Every true Christian knows that they have a sacred and urgent duty to call back their loved ones, neighbours, colleagues and strangers back to God through JESUS CHRIST for the earthly survival and eternal salvation of their souls. True!
Therefore, true Christians knows that:
Giving the GIFT of the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, JESUS CHRIST is the BEST gift ever they can give this CHRISTMAS (Christ's birthday celebration) season to their loved ones, others they know and strangers who are not yet saved through Christ in this World. True!
Giving the GIFT of the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, JESUS CHRIST is the COSTLIEST gift ever they can give this CHRISTMAS (Christ's birthday celebration) season to their loved ones, others they know and strangers who are not yet saved through Christ in this World. True!
Why?
Because JESUS CHRIST Himself revealed thus:
For what shall it PROFIT a man, if he shall GAIN the WHOLE world, and LOSE his own SOUL? Or what shall a man give in EXCHANGE for his SOUL? (Mark 8:36,37).
Do you get it?
Think about it and take action now before is too late for them. Yes, too late for them either by death or rapture!
That is why the wisest King in the Old covenant era said thus:
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that WINS souls is WISE. (Proverbs 11:30).
Will you be wise or foolish with giving your CHRISTMAS gift this season? Think about it!
Why, you and I must not be foolish with the giving of our CHRISTMAS gift this season? Because the Bible reveals thus:
Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which CONVERTS the sinner from the error of his way shall SAVE a soul from DEATH, and shall HIDE a multitude of SINS. (James 5:19,20).
Do you get it?
Jesus Christ said that if you and I valued the whole World together, it cost cannot buy, pay or be exchange for the soul of any human being, irrespective of how we think the person is less, useless and worthless than us or to others. True!
God proved His value for the soul of man, when He gave the life of His one and only begotten, priceless and precious Son, JESUS CHRIST.
Sadly to say:
Despite the huge population of those who claim to be Christian practitioners and parents, our churches and homes are full of SINS today, because many who call themselves Christians are not consciously and passionately giving the BEST and COSTLIEST gift of the knowledge of JESUS CHRIST to their UNBELIEVING or SINNING loved ones around them at their homes, worship places, neighbourhoods, etc. True!
Despite the huge population of those who claim to be Christian people, our World and nations are full of SINS today, because many who call themselves Christians are not consciously and passionately giving the BEST and COSTLIEST gift of the knowledge of JESUS CHRIST to their UNBELIEVING or SINNING loved ones around them at their study places, workplaces, business places, etc. True!
So sad!
Now, know and note, no better time than at CHRISTMAS (Christ's birthday celebration) season, can you and I give to our loved ones, neighbours, friends, colleagues and even strangers, the BEST and COSTLIEST gift (of the knowledge of JESUS CHRIST), who as the person of JESUS CHRIST, God Himself gave to the World for salvation (reconciliation and restoration of humanity back to Himself). True!
While God gave the World the person of JESUS CHRIST, you and I are saved to give the knowledge of JESUS CHRIST to the World visa vie the person of Jesus Christ. Halleluyah!
The Bible reveals thus:
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who has RECONCILED us to Himself by JESUS CHRIST, and has GIVEN to US the MINISTRY of RECONCILIATION; To wit, that GOD was in CHRIST, reconciling the WORLD unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and has COMMITTED unto US the WORD of RECONCILIATION. Now then WE are AMBASSADORS for CHRIST, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be you reconciled to God. For He has made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. (2 Corinthians 5:17-21).
Do you get it?
True Christians knows that they are AMBASSADORS for Christ in the World, even at CHRISTMAS (Christ's birthday celebration) season. True!
True Christians knows they are saved by God in Christ to reconcile the World back to Him (God), especially their loved ones and even at CHRISTMAS (Christ's birthday celebration) season. True!
Always remember this:
...How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! (Romans 10:15).
They are thus:
And they that be WISE shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that TURN many to righteousness as the STARS for ever and ever. (Daniel 12:3).
Do you see that? Hmm!
Jesus Christ said to you and I thus:
And He said unto them, GO you into ALL the WORLD, and PREACH the gospel to every creature. He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. (Mark 16:15-18).
True Christians do not take for granted this commandment of Jesus Christ, not even at a festive period of the celebration of His birth (CHRISTMAS). True!
